Interventional radiology is a young discipline compared to other medical specialties. As a branch of diagnostic radiology, it represents its therapeutic arm. Using CT, MRI and angiography, therapeutic interventions are performed in the patient's vascular system, among others. 

At our angiotrainer, prospective radiologists learn and practice the handling of catheters and guidewires in combination with the imaging system. The realistic and user-friendly system can be used in the seminar room as well as in the angiography facility. The vessel model developed on the basis of radiological image data offers various exercise scenarios and can be easily combined with other vessel models (e.g. our labyrinth model). The associated pump unit allows the perfusion of the vessel model, so that the use of a contrast medium for visualization of the vessel courses can also be simulated.
