Anamnese:
Ein 74-jähriger Patient klagte über anhaltende Schmerzen im Brustkorb. Bereits bei der Geburt wurde ein Fehlverlauf der Aorta (rechtsseitig um die Luftröhre) diagnostiziert.
Untersuchung und Diagnose:
Nach einer CT-Untersuchung wurde ein besonders ausgeprägtes Aortenaneurysma festgestellt.
Verlauf:
Vom behandelnden Arzt wurde ein 3D-Modell zur Entscheidungsfindung für die weitere Behandlung des Patienten beauftragt. Durch das Modell ließen sich in Zusammenarbeit mit einem Implantathersteller sehr viel einfacher individuelle Lösungen finden als bei einem alleinigen Rückgriff auf die CT-Daten finden.

Thoraric aortic aneurysm
Case history and admission findings:
A 74-year-old patient complained of intense pain in his thorax. Even at his birth a defect of his aorta (right-sided around the trachea) was diagnosed.
Investigations and diagnosis:
Radiological investigations revealed a significantly distinct aortic aneurysm.
Course:
The treating physician was provided with a 1:1 scale 3D printed model of the aneurysm to discuss the further treatment of the patient. With the aid of the model it was possible to find much easier individual solutions in cooperation with a manufacturer of implants.
