This vascular access trainer allows the practice of puncturing the vessels under ultrasound control. The phantom contains 4 vessel replicas in different sizes and different depths (5-20 mm below the surface). These are accessible from above and below and can be perfused with a pump (not included). 

The reprocessable SimOrgan® gel provides realistic tactile and visual feedback. Due to the special material properties, repeated punctures are possible. The visualization in ultrasound imaging is close to that of the patient. 

This allows physicians to train ultrasound-guided vascular interventions, in particular the positioning and movement of the ultrasound probe and the imaging of vessels. The success control of the puncture is signaled by fluid leakage. The SimOrgan® Phantom is suitable for placing a PICC line as well as an arterial access and venipuncture.
