This puncture phantom allows practice of puncturing the vessels under ultrasound control. The phantom contains vessel structures with a bifurcation and various curvatures. For realistic training, artificial blood can be used for perfusion by means of two pumps (included in the scope of delivery).

The reprocessable SimOrgan® gel provides realistic tactile and visual feedback. Due to the special material properties, repeated punctures are possible. The visualization in ultrasound imaging is close to that of the patient. 

This allows physicians to train ultrasound-guided vascular interventions, in particular the positioning and movement of the ultrasound probe and the imaging of bifurcation. The success control of the puncture is signaled by fluid leakage. The SimOrgan® Phantom is suitable for placing a PICC line as well as an arterial access and venipuncture.
