The SimOrgan® Appendectomy Module offers the opportunity to learn and train the removal of the appendix in acute appendicitis in the essential surgical steps. The model includes the reproduction of caecum, appendix vermiformis and appendicular artery. It is integrated into a reusable anatomical environment made of soft silicone. The following steps can be performed realistically on the model:

• Representation of the appendicitis

• blunt preparation of the appendix

• Depositing the appendix with stacker or suture material

• Set down the vessel stem with stacker or suture material

• Recovery of the detached appendix
