The SimOrgan® Cholecystectomy module offers the possibility to learn and train the removal of the gallbladder in the essential surgical steps. The model includes the reconstruction of the gallbladder, bile ducts and the cystic artery. These are embedded in our SimOrgan® liver material. The following steps can be performed realistically on the model:

• Representation of the gallbladder

• Preparation of Calot's triangle

• Representation of the Ductus cysticus and the Arteria cystica

• Clipping and severing of the cystic duct and the cystic artery

• Detaching the gall bladder from the liver bed

• Extraction of the gall bladder
